The Linda Robson weight loss story has been appearing in many newspapers and magazines just recently. Indeed the Daily Mail seem to be going overboard, as always, and have printed several stories about Linda Robson’s weight loss efforts.
It is quite interesting because as you probably know, Pauline Quirke, one of her closest friends, lost a lot of weight in 2011, and this has clearly encouraged Linda to do the same herself.
She admits herself that although she was delighted that her friend had lost a lot of weight, it also made her feel slightly depressed about her own weight. In the past she had always been the thinner one, even when they were both very young, but now she was obviously the larger one out of the two.
As a result of this, Linda Robson decided to do something about her weight, which was 14 stone 7 lbs at the time.
The good news is that Pauline Quirke inspired her to lose 3 stone in weight in just 3 months, and she is now approximately the same weight as her good friend. I have seen some recent photos of them both, and I have to say that they both look fantastic. Of course they are not exactly stick insects, but they are now a fairly healthy weight. Indeed they both admit that they feel a lot better, which is the main thing.
Linda Robson and Pauline Quirke both followed the LighterLife diet, which involves sticking to a diet that is very low in calories. They provide you with diet packs containing meals, soups, shakes and snacks that are all nutritious and low in calories, and they also offer coaching and support as well.
I don’t personally know anyone that has followed this particular diet company, but it has clearly worked for both of these two popular celebrities.
Anyway the point I want to make is that your friends can be very influential in terms of weight loss. The fact that Pauline Quirke lost a lot weight clearly inspired Linda Robson to do the same herself. If Pauline had not made any effort to lose any weight, then Linda would probably still be overweight herself.
So it is worth getting together with your close friends and inspiring each other to lose weight. It is often so much easier when you try and lose weight together, or know someone who has been successful, because they can spur you on to hit your weight loss targets and get your old body back. If you try and lose weight on your own and have no real support, then you will find it a lot harder.
