An Idiot Abroad 2 is currently showing on Sky 1, and it is the follow up to Karl Pilkington’s first series which saw him visit some of the seven wonders of the world. This was a runaway success because of Karl’s unique humour and observations, and series 2 of An Idiot Abroad has been pretty good as well.
The release date of the An Idiot Abroad Series 2 DVD is November 21 2011, and I’m sure many Karl Pilkington fans will be desperate to pre-order this DVD right away. However if you haven’t yet seen series 2 of An Idiot Abroad, let me tell you a little bit more about it.
Series 2 is similar in that Karl Pilkington is once again sent off to various different places around the world that most of us can only dream about visiting. However this time he has to do various things that are based on a lot of people’s ultimate things to do before you die list.
So for example he will swim with dolphins, travel along Route 66 and find himself deserted on a desert island to see if all of these things are really that exciting in reality. Karl Pilkington is a reluctant traveller at the best of times and there isn’t much that impresses him, so I’m sure you can imagine how he responds to most of the things that he has to do. Indeed there are some things that he simply refuses to do altogether.
The result is a very refreshing series that will make you laugh at Karl’s antics, and the ease at which Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are able to wind him up,whilst also making you slightly jealous.
Overall An Idiot Abroad Series 2 is definitely worth watching, and is likely to be every bit as good as the Karl Pilkington An Idiot Abroad Series 1 DVD, which is still one of the top selling DVDs on Amazon right now.
