Today I want to talk about the Russell Grant weight loss story because it really is a truly remarkable story, and gives hope to everyone who is massively overweight right now.
Russell Grant has been on our TV screens and in various newspapers and magazines here in the UK for many years now. He has made a name for himself as an astrologist to the stars. However he is now back in the spotlight because he is one of the contestants on the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
We are only one week into the series, and while his surprisingly energetic dance routine caught the eye in the first week, it is Russell Grant’s weight loss story that a lot of people are interested in.
Apparently Russell Grant has lost 10 stone in weight so far (since 2009), and if he goes a long way in this series, like Anne Widdecombe and John Sergeant have done in previous years, then he is almost certain to lose even more weight.
So what are the secrets to Russell Grant’s weight loss?
Well that’s just it. Russell Grant doesn’t have any earth-shattering weight loss secrets. It is purely the result of eating healthily and getting more exercise.
He admits that he never skips breakfast and always makes sure he eats something in order to get his metabolism going. Then he will have his main meal for the day at lunchtime, where he will eat a wholesome meal consisting of things like fresh fish, grilled chicken and vegetables.
Finally he will have his final meal in the evening, which will generally be something very light, and he will not have anything else to eat until the next day. He says that he fights off any hunger pangs by snacking between meals on a piece of fruit or some healthy nuts, for example.
He says the reason he is able to stick to this simple diet plan is because it involves eating little and often. So he doesn’t become annoyed when he gets hungry because he knows that he will be able to have a healthy snack between meals, and doesn’t have to wait hours on end for the next meal on an empty stomach.
Another reason why he has lost so much weight is because as he has slowly seen his weight come down, he has become a lot more active. More specifically, he has admitted that he loves to dance around the house to his favourite music when he’s at home, which of course will help to burn more calories.
So if you want to emulate Russell Grant’s weight loss story yourself, I suggest you follow his diet plan, which involves eating little and often and only eating healthy low calorie food, and start dancing more, or at least become more active.
He has managed to lose an incredible 10 stone so far, and a further 8 pounds since getting into training for Strictly Come Dancing 2011, so there’s no reason why you cannot achieve the same kind of results yourself.
