Crest whitening strips have been around for several years now, and they have quickly become one of the best and most cost-effective ways of whitening your teeth. If you want to know how to use these crest whitening strips, there are clear directions included with each box that you purchase, but to be honest they are incredibly easy to use. You simply place one strip over your upper and lower teeth for a certain period of time each day (depending on which strips you use) at a time that’s convenient for you, and let the whitening agent go to work.

There are various different types of strips you can buy. The main difference between them is the amount of hydrogen peroxide that they contain, ie how strong the whitening agent is. This variation means that some are more expensive than others.

The best (and most expensive) crest whitening strips are the Supreme ones. These last for a period of 21 days, require around 25-30 minutes per day to apply (twice per day), and give results that last around 18 months on average. There are cheaper alternatives, however, such as the 3D, Premium, Professional and Classic strips which can be used for just one to two weeks and do not need to be applied for as long each day, but they are not quite as effective as the Supreme strips.

So the big question is do these crest whitening strips really work?

Well there are lots of positive reviews on the internet and they have come out top in many whitening product surveys that I’ve come across, but I can speak from experience here. I’ve used the Supreme whitening strips myself in the past and noticed a dramatic change in the appearance of my teeth.

Previously they had become quite yellow after I had wore a brace for two and a half years and drank several cups of tea every day for many years, but after using these strips for three weeks I was blown away by the results. In fact the next time I saw my dentist he immediately commented on how white they looked, and asked me if I had been using any whitening products.

So the point is that crest whitening strips really do work in my experience, because my teeth were several shades lighter as a result. The only downside is that you sometimes get a slight pain in your teeth during the treatment time, due to sensitivity. However this is a side effect that you will often get as a result of using these whitening products, so it is a small price to pay for dramatically whiter teeth.
