If you have a look on the internet you will find several stories about people being in agony during the actual treatment. The one major side effect is that because some people have very sensitive teeth, it can be quite uncomfortable when the light-activated gel is applied to the teeth. In a minority of people it can be particularly painful, as I say, but for most people it is not a problem at all and in a lot of cases it is only a very small sensitivity that is easily tolerated.

You should, however, bear this in mind, particularly if you have a low pain threshold just in case your teeth do turn out to be sensitive to this procedure. It is always worth talking to your dentist before going through with the Zoom teeth whitening treatment, so he can tell you about any possible side effects and make sure that you are fully prepared to go through with the treatment.

Overall the vast majority of people are very happy with the final results of their Zoom teeth whitening treatment, so things like the cost and the possible side effects are not always that much of an issue for those people that really want whiter teeth.
